According to Buying Jewelry on eBay you will find jewelry for great prices on eBay, but there are also people out there who are less than truthful in their auctions. To keep from being taken advantage of by an unscrupulous jewelry seller, the author suggests that you make sure that their ratings are high and their feedback is positive. If this is not the case, this is one person to not buy from. To discover more tips read the article below.

Buying Jewelry on eBay

eBay is a great place to find almost any item that you can imagine. Jewelry wholesale auctions are quite common on eBay, and in many cases, you cannot beat the deals that are offered here. However, there are also many con artists that operate through eBay, and you have to use caution.

Start by reading all of the fine details about the jewelry wholesale lots that you are purchasing. If you still have questions, send those questions to the seller through eBay’s website. Make sure that you keep all of your contact with the seller through the website so that there is documentation.

Check out the person or company that is offering the jewelry wholesale. Look at their ratings and their feedback. Has there been any negative feedback? If so, you may want to reconsider your options and look into other auctions. If the feedback is all positive, and the seller’s rating is high, doing business with them should not be a problem.

Make sure that you are clear about shipment costs and the shipment time frame, as well as the payment options offered. Usually, the buyer is responsible for the shipment costs, and this is added to the total and paid before the item ships. In the case of high ticket items, insurance may be required on the item as well. The seller seldom pays the shipping costs.

If the jewelry wholesale is a high ticket item, such as jewelry that is bought in bulk or rare pieces of expensive jewelry, you should strongly consider using the escrow service that is recommended by eBay. If the seller recommends any escrow service other than the one that eBay recommends, you might not want to do business with this seller – it could be a scam.

Beware of sniper’s on eBay! Sniping is against the rules at eBay, but a large group of people do it anyway. Sniping is automatic bidding, which is not against the rules, but the software or service is instructed to place the highest bid in the last possible minute of the auction – leaving no time for anyone else to place a higher bid. Again, this is against eBay’s rules.

Instead of sniping, place your first bid at the maximum amount that you are willing to pay for the jewelry wholesale lot. Each time the bid is raised, your bid will automatically be raised – until your limit is reached. This is not sniping, and it is a perfectly legal way to bid on auctions at eBay.

Ebay Worldwide Bringing Success To Internet Marketers

Author: 3kavita
Nowadays, businesses’ share of the market cannot be relied only on traditional marketing schemes like media and print ads. With the vast scope of internet, businesses are inclined to adapt internet marketing. Professional services are even acquired to produce creative online advertisements that can boost sales.

Internet marketing does not only serve as a tool for product or services display. This also includes methods such as affiliate marketing, search engine marketing, viral marketing, interactive advertising, blog marketing and display advertising. All methods ensure instant response from clients and in eliciting comments from them; all can be powerful in promoting one’s business.

Promoting one’s business will not have to stop on building a good website and posting pictures there. Since internet does not restrict your share of the worldwide market, you need to grab all possible clients through appropriate online marketing method and spice up your products by linking up with a well known trading partner — the eBay—-.

In a recent survey conducted by eBay, it has been found out that many items sold across U.S. borders tend to have higher average selling prices than those sold within its boundaries. This can clearly state that there are better market beyond United States and any business can take hold of such! Another useful fact is that there are approximately two hundred million users of eBay worldwide; this means 200,000,000 possible clients all over the world!

How can eBay bring success to your marketing via internet? Notably, a quarter of U.S. exports which are sold on eBay go to Canada and 47% of goods go to Europe. Being an internet marketer, you must know the share of eBay on the world. The export list of eBay revealed that 30% of goods go to Canada, 20% to U.K., Australia has 8% share, Germany and France 5%, Italy -4% and Ireland, Japan, Netherlands and Spain all acquire 2%.

Internet marketers across the globe fight to earn a sizeable target market overnight. eBay can do this job. It can boost your sales by increasing the audience. This is possible since eBay is an online marketplace where sellers and buyers around the world come together to trade almost everything. Boosting sales through eBay is easy and very lucrative. One just has to expand his market internationally.

There are several eBay tools that can be used by internet marketers. One is the research tool which can let you explore if there are items that are being sold to eBay similar to yours. You can also identify the number of bidders who are attracted to these products and how much did they pay for them. Through this tool, you will know if the product you will be promoting will also be attractive to your target consumers and if they will pay for it.

Another tool developed by eBay developers is the eBay auction software. This is created to make sales and to ease and speed up the auction process. One personalization of this software is Auction Australia eBay software tailored for Australian consumers and sellers. Generally, this software helps users make sales faster by assisting in creation of catchy ads. There are many attractive templates which can easily be pasted on anyone’s personal site. With the use of this software, auction sites can look professional; one that can draw customers to the site and thus can bring profits.

eBay does not only do wonders for big corporations but small businesses as well. Although it is being used as a selling platform, it can also bring unique marketing campaigns for small businesses. eBay can be a great tool in auctioning a charity event services. It can also be posted with the personalized services that any business caters.

Internet marketing with the use of eBay gives competitive edge and this can create effective sales strategy and comprehensive marketing tactics. Through eBay, any product/service list can stand out and can build buyers’ trust and confidence. This can create repeat purchases and brand loyalty. Enticing customers can easily be done through appealing websites and catchy ads over the net.

The importance of eBay to internet marketing is obvious, but sadly it is usually being underestimated. Auctions and trading at eBay is fun and easy and can save a lot of operational costs. Internet marketers must really grab the opportunity that eBay offers to gain customers and to gain humungous sales!

Ebay Ebook Success: The Benefits of Having an eBay Store is written in British English, but it should be easy to understand how having a store with eBay is more cost-effective than only having auctions for your products. One bonus is that products listed in a store can remain in place until they sell while auctions can only last for 10 days. There are several other positives listed in this article which makes it worth the read.

Ebay Ebook Success: The Benefits of Having an eBay Store

I firmly believe that to be a success when selling ebooks on eBay you need to have an eBay store. They more than pay for the £6 monthly fee with the benefits they provide. These include cheaper fees, longer listing duration, and much more. Find out about all the benefits below:

1) Cheaper Fees:- The insertion fee for an auction listing on eBay is 15p. The insertion fee for a buy it now listing on eBay is 20p. However, the insertion fee for a store listing is only 3p. On top of this the gallery fee for auction and buy it now listings is 15p whilst the gallery fee for a store listing is only 5p. These are the only two listing features I use for my eBay ebook listings which gives me a total saving of between 12p-17p per ebook I list in my eBay store. Now this doesn’t seem like much of a saving, but since I list all my ebooks as store listings and only a small proportion as auction listings this actually equates to a significant saving. I would advise any other ebook sellers on eBay to also list their ebooks in this way as it will lead to huge cost savings for you. If you list your full inventory as eBay store listings, and then your most popular items on the main eBay site as either buy it now or auction style listings you can save money and promote your eBay store (I will discuss this promotion aspect further in the next edition of the newsletter).

2) Longer Listing Duration:- The maximum listing duration of a buy it now or auction style listing is ten days. With a store inventory listing you can list for 30 days, 90 days, or Good till Cancelled (the listing renews every 30 days till you cancel it). Not only does this provide the benefit of added value for money, but it also saves you a lot of time. Instead of relisting an ebook every ten days you can simply list it in your store as Good till Cancelled and not worry about it again.

3) Unlimited Inventory:- When you list an ebook as an auction or buy it now the insertion fee goes up depending how many items you want to list. When you list in your eBay store the insertion fee remains at 3p whether you list 1 item or 1000 items. This is a huge benefit to ebook sellers because as you already know, you can sell infinite copies of the same ebook, since it is digital. Therefore, if you list 1000 copies of your ebook (or even more if you wish) as a Good till Cancelled listing you will hardly every have to maintain it. This will not only save you time but also money.

4) Custom Store Pages:- With a basic eBay store you get 5 custom pages (and even more with anchor and featured stores). These custom pages are useful ways of conveying extra information to your customers. I use my custom pages for; a Disclaimer page, a Privacy Policy page, a SPAM Policy page, a Terms and Conditions page, and a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. However, they can also be used to convey other important information to your customers or to promote one of your products or websites. Having these custom pages available in your eBay store makes you look more professional which in turn generates increased customer trust.

5) Store Categories:- With an eBay store you get 20 custom categories which you can assign your listings to. This is extremely useful because customers who are looking for a certain type of ebook will be able to browse by category. Some of the categories I use include; “Gambling Guides and Systems,” “Email and Autoresponder” and “Wholesale and Dropshipping.” If a customer visits my eBay store and only has a general idea of the ebook that they want, these categories should guide them in the right direction, and then hopefully lead to a sale. Since many people who buy ebooks will be merely browsing, these categories should increase sales and also make your store easier to navigate, meaning customers are more likely to return.

6) Store Cross Promotion:- With an eBay store you can cross-promote your items. This involves a small box appearing at the bottom of your listings promoting some of your other listings. You can do this manually, automatically, or via store category. I prefer to do it by category as then the most relevant listings appear and so there is more chance of a customer making a repeat purchase. For example, if a customer buys a Chilli Recipe ebook and at the bottom of the listing you are promoting 4 more recipe ebooks, it is likely that this is something the buyer will be interested in, and so may make another purchase from you. If however, 4 gambling guides appear, the customer is unlikely to be interested in this, and so is less likely to make a repeat purchase. Repeat business will not only increase your profits but also increase your long-term growth.

Recently eBay has also added the ability to cross-promote with other sellers. This is very easy to set up and eBay manages the whole process for you. All you have to do is go to the “Cross-Promotion Connections” area of My eBay and then use the request cross-promotions link in order to set them up. If the other seller agrees then a box promoting their products will appear on your listings and vice versa. This is again a valuable opportunity to increase sales.

7) Store Tools:- With an eBay store you get tools such as sales reports, traffic reports, and a basic newsletter tool. The first two tools are very useful for monitoring how your business is growing. The traffic reports show you your daily traffic for all of your eBay pages, and compare it to the traffic on those pages both 4 weeks prior and 1 year prior. This allows you to monitor both your short term and long-term growth.

The sales reports are particularly useful because they incorporate eBay fees and PayPal fees. This means you can see how much actual profit you are making after all fees have been accounted for. They also show sales growth so you can monitor this also.

The newsletter tool whilst basic is also useful. If people opt-in to recieve your newsletter then it can automatically be set to send out monthly updates of new items that have been added to your eBay store. This again increases the chance of repeat business. It is particularly useful for ebook sellers who are likely to be adding new products on a regular basis.

8) Store Customisation:- With an eBay store you can customise the look and feel of the store, making it unique. The ways you can do this include adding a store logo, adding a custom header to all your logos, choosing the layout of your categories and listings, changing the colours, using promotion boxes, and much more. The benefit that this provides is that when customers visit your store it is different and stands out from the rest. This will make them pay more attention to your store, spend more time browsing, and hopefully lead to increased sales and long-term business.

9) Store URL:- When you get an eBay store you get an actual URL (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/yourstore) which you can promote. Not only does this link look much more attractive and professional than the long and clunky View the Sellers Items link, but it also gets listed in the search engines and the eBay stores directory. This means that you will have traffic coming in from outside of eBay also, which is a benefit you do not get without eBay stores.

Hopefully this article has shown you that for the low monthly fee of £6 you can save time and money, look like a more professional business, and increase your traffic and sales. You even get your first month of having an eBay store free so there really is nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain.

Listing products

Once you have found what to sell on eBay, you need to write a product listing. The product listing will contain a title and a description. The title needs to be chosen very carefully because the words in your title are searched using the eBay search feature.

The description that you write needs to be more like a sales pitch than anything else so that buyers are convinced to buy your products. This is why you should sell products that you are interested in because you can be more passionate about them.

You need to carefully think about the type of people that would like to buy the products that you are trying to sell. This will affect what you write in the description. You need to identify the niche market and market your products to them.

Successful eBay Selling: Evolution Of An eBay Mutant suggests that investing in a course on eBay will be a good way to cut down on the time it takes you to learn the best selling practices. In this way, money can be made earlier with fewer frustrating mistakes being made.

Copyright 2006 Donovan Baldwin

Many successful eBay sellers have two things in common:

1. The way they got started on their individual paths to success, and

2. The number of additional sales they COULD have made if they had just learned a little more about one other subject…internet marketing.

eBAY SELLERS ARE MADE NOT BORN

Almost everybody selling things for a living, or at least for a recognizable income, on eBay started the same way…by intentional accident. Usually, they have become intrigued by the phenomenon, looked around their house and found a few things to test the waters with, and after that, they were hooked! That’s the birth. After that comes evolution.

Once they run out of things to sell, but have been struck by the business opportunity lurking on eBay, they have to find other sources of eBay merchandise. This problem is solved in various ingenious ways. Some link up with a wholesale drop ship operation, some find merchandise elsewhere, such as at auctions and estate sales, while some create their own products.

Having gotten a product source, they still had to learn…learn…learn. In general, becoming a success at selling on eBay is comprised of varying amounts of research, study, trial-and-error, failure, success…and luck.

WHAT eBAY SELLERS DON’T KNOW

Many eBay sellers arrive at this particular internet business niche independently of a previous internet marketing experience. As a result, while successful in their own area of expertise, eBay, they often miss cues and opportunities that an experienced internet marketer would pick up on or take advantage of. They lack knowledge of ways that they could expand the auction success by applying some standard internet marketing techniques.

BEYOND EVOLUTION

eBay has now been such a successful internet phenomenon for long enough that the evolutionary path of eBay selling has produced experts. In true entrepreneurial spirit, some of these experts are now sharing their hard-won knowledge by publishing courses on the subject. As in many things, there are good courses, there are not-so-good courses, and there are plain awful ones. Their prices range anywhere from a few dollars to a great many dollars, and the process is still new and fluid enough that few, if any, can truly claim to be major players.

ONE BENEFIT MOST eBAY SELLING COURSES OFFER

Many people do not take the plunge simply because of an uncertainty and fear of failure due to ignorance. If they have visited the eBay site, they have often be over-whelmed by all the links, warnings, and terms specific to eBay. It seems as if they have wandered into a meeting of a secret organization and lack the password and handshake, and they feel that anything they do will be greeted with derision, if not complete animosity.

One thing that almost any course about selling on eBay can do is familiarize you to some extent with the experience. That will erase some of the fear and uncertainty. A GOOD course on selling on eBay can cut your evolutionary time considerably because the author will have already been there and can guide you past some of the pitfalls and help you mutate more quickly than you could grow through simple evolution. The lag time between first eBay auction and the point where you consider yourself to at least be skilled at the process, if not yet wealthy from it, can be cut considerably.

Although not immediately necessary to learning the eBay process, learning something about internet marketing as well can help you expand your opportunity beyond just the auctions. Fortunately, there are eBay selling courses that cover at least some of the internet marketing aspects as well.

HOW TO GET STARTED

The easiest way to get started selling on eBay, with or without a course, is to do what so many others have done. Look around the house and find a couple of things you think SOMEONE will possibly want to buy. Remember, the purpose here is to learn the process, not to get rich. In fact, even if the item doesn’t sell, you will have benefited from the experience. Be aware, however, that you will have fees to pay even if your item does not sell. This is not a terrible thing because, unless you have bought every possible option, these costs should be minimal. Chalk it up to tuition. Anyway, if this test develops into a real internet business those expenses become tax deductions.

RECOMMENDATION?

Give eBay a shot with a couple of sales of things you already have just to see what’s going on and how you feel about it. If you believe that this might be a business you want to get involved in, get yourself a course and learn a little bit more about the business before you leap in with both feet…or with your wallet in your hand. It’s better to spend a few bucks up front and realize the experience is not for you, than it is to spend a lot of bucks and experience a great deal of frustration only to learn that you should have let this opportunity pass you by.

Used Cars For Sale On eBay is an interesting article that explains the whole process of used car sales on eBay. An escrow service, Escrow.com, is hired to engender trust in the buyer of a used car he or she has never seen and may be in another state. Successful transactions have transpired from eBay and there are remedies if a customer is not happy with his or her purchase.

Used Cars For Sale On eBay

There are thousands of used cars for sale on eBay every
single day. In fact, eBay Motors is the most profitable
sales division on eBay and naturally there are many
entrepreneurs who are interested in jumping into this
market. For instance, eBay claims it sells an SUV every nine
seconds and is the biggest online car dealer in America,
exceeding the traditional car companies. In fact, there are
15 million cars sold over the Internet each year – and
growing.

The recent rapid growth of the consignment business model
has made the used car market even more enticing. Many
sellers are able to sell cars they have never even seen and
with no more risk than the cost of the auction listing. Some
negotiators even persuade the car owner to pay for the ad,
thereby risking no more than their time.

The biggest single issue for this business model is the
trust of prospective buyers. After all, paying thousands or
tens of thousands of dollars for a car sight unseen is an
awesome leap of faith. Even buying for a plane ticket to go
see a car before paying causes buyers to be uncomfortable.

The best way sellers can overcome this fear is to use an
escrow service. The one chosen by eBay is Escrow.com, which
handles eBay auctions in the US and Canada.

An escrow service acts as a neutral third party. In an
exchange of merchandise, the buyer sends his money to
Escrow.com and the seller ships the product to the buyer.
The buyer usually has two days to inspect his purchase, and
if he is happy, he notifies the excrow company who releases
the money to the seller, minus its fee. If the buyer is
dissatisfied, he returns the undamaged merchandise to the
seller, and after the seller receives his merchandise back
(in satisfactory condition), the escrow company returns the
buyer’s money. Thus both sides in the transaction are
protected. The buyer almost always pays the fees for this,
although sometimes buyer and seller split the cost.

Escrow.com has created its “Vehicle Services Division”
specifically for dealing with the used cars, trucks, SUVs
and almost anything else with wheels and a motor. The buyer
can have a 160 point inspection performed before agreeing to
the purchase. This is an inexpensive service and certainly
will save the buyer any headaches.

* The buyer pays a $125 fee that is non-refundable
* The seller is contacted and the inspection is carried out
* The buyer receives a report
* The buyer chooses to go ahead with the purchase – or not

Another choice for the buyer is to deposit his payment with
Escrow.com and then take delivery of the vehicle. The
seller ships the car after he knows the money is secure with
the escrow company. The seller must provide tracking
information, which is verified by Escrow.com.

The buyer has between one and 30 days to thoroughly inspect
his new purchase (the period is negotiated between the two
parties ahead of time). If this time expires and the escrow
company has not heard from the buyer, it assumes he is happy
and gives the purchase price to the seller.

The buyer may return his vehicle if he isn’t happy and
sometimes buyers and sellers work out partial payment
agreements, the buyer being satisfied with some parts of the
transaction, but not with others. If a dispute arises, it is
settled by the American Arbitration Association.

The fee for this service is:

* $0 – $7,500 = value of vehicle: $125
* $7,500.01 to $15,000: $170
* $15,000.01 to $30,000: $200
* $30,000.01 to $50,000: $275
* $50,000+ = 6% of the value

Once both parties have agreed, the title transfer process
begins and Escrow.com will guarantee this too, for a fee of
$95. Title transfers are handled by Centerpoint Diversified
Services which works in all 50 states. The fee, naturally,
doesn’t include any transfer costs – it is only insurance
that the title will be expedited to the satisfaction of both
parties.

Escrow.com also offers a service that will ship cars almost
anywhere in the world and will gather an auto history report
to inform sellers if their new chariot has been salvaged or
stolen, suffered flood or hail damage, been in a fire or
accident, has had an odometer rollback or has been used as a
police car, a rental or a taxi.

Anyone considering offering used cars for sale on eBay would
be well advised to thoroughly learn the services available
through Escrow.com and offer those to prospective buyers.
The trust factor will skyrocket and your chances of
completing sales will dramatically increase.

Sell On eBay In Other Countries and Rocket Your Sales tells you how to expand your selling efforts into more that just the country you live in. It is not difficult to do at all because eBay has websites all over the world for countries such as France, Germany, Canada, Australia, etc. If you would like to expand your reach beyond the United States find out how in this article.

Sell On eBay In Other Countries and Rocket Your Sales

A simple yet extremely effective way of increasing your eBay sales is to sell on eBay internationally. Make sure that your items are listed on other eBay sites in a number of different countries because if you only sell on eBay UK then you are missing out on thousands of potential sales!

To sell on eBay internationally the first thing you must do is to scroll down to the International Postage section within the Sell Your Item page. Click on the drop down menu and select Flat: Same Cost To All Buyers which will show the international posting options.

Here, you can choose to post your items to Worldwide Destinations or Custom Locations. Unless you are sending very large or very small items, then you should choose Royal Mail Airmail (Small Packets). So, as an example, let us say that you have decided to sell your items on eBay to European buyers. Simply choose Custom Locations from the drop down box and tick all the boxes in column 2. Next add the postage charge for the item.

If you decide that you also want to sell to buyers in the USA, Canada, Asia, Australia and Japan but want to charge a higher postage cost, click on Offer Additional Service then choose Custom Location again, and repeat the same process as above but this time tick all the other boxes for the countries you want to sell on eBay to. You will now have two postage options for your item. One for Europe which includes the UK and one for the other countries you have added.

Once you have added the extra information to your listings then eBay users in other countries will be able to view your items on their own eBay site. However there is an exception to this! Buy It Now items will not show up on eBay.com (the US site) unless buyers change their default search option to show International Listings. Some buyers will do this and others will not, so if you really want to get your listings shown on eBay.com and you are selling at a fixed price, it is wise to run a separate listing specifically from eBay.com to ensure visibility. So, just by following these few easy steps you will have already increased your listing visibility and will make more international sales.

Following on from this, you can go one step further and actually list your products individually on each eBay site in the language of the site! So, for example, if you want to list your items on eBay France, then you first need to get your listing translated in to French. There are free services that do this such as www.freetranslation.com who do also offer a paid service. Just a word of advice: the free services are not always completely accurate, so your listing could end up not making sense when translated. It is better to use a paid service to ensure your listings are correct from the start! Then simply log in to ebay.fr with your usual eBay ID and password and list your item in the usual way. It is fairly easy to find your way around the sites even though they are in a different language as most links are in the same place as on eBay UK.

The advantage of listing your items individually on foreign sites in the language of the country is that you are literally speaking their language! Although English is very widely spoken in other countries, most foreign buyers will prefer to read a listing in their own language, which in turn will entice them to buy. Ultimately, this way you will make even more sales. There are lots of countries you can sell on eBay to. Try Germany, Italy, France, USA, Australia and Canada and watch your sales triple!
